Mean task completion time in seconds for four study tasks, with and without AI
With AI, participants finished code generation in 2 minutes 47 seconds on
average, error resolution in 1 minute 24 seconds, data visualization in
3 minutes 11 seconds, and sentiment analysis in 4 minutes 5 seconds.
Without AI the same tasks took 10 minutes 17 seconds, 8 minutes 33 seconds,
8 minutes 37 seconds, and 26 minutes 14 seconds. The gap is widest on
sentiment analysis, where work without AI took more than six times as long.
